Claudia Giuli - BSc (Hons) Psych, DipHyp

I trained in the Diploma of Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy with the UK College of Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy in London. This evidence based program is the only externally verified training course that is approved by The British Psychological Society (BPS). In addition, I have a degree with honours in psychology.

I am a registered practitioner on the General Hypnotherapy Register and an accredited practitioner with the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council. In addition, I undergo regular Continued Professional Development, supervision and training to ensure that my clients receive therapy of the highest standard. Also, I have a number of additional qualifications in Hypno-CBT to address a range of specific needs including insomnia, phobias, and smoking cessation.

In my profession I find essential to work with the inner resources that each of us possess because knowing what our potentials are and what our needs, desires, talents and limits are, it is paramount to feel good about ourselves and to achive what we really want in life.

My approach brings together the power of hypnosis and the recognised effectiveness of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) techniques. CBT is recommended by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) because it has consistently been found by numerous research studies to be the most effective treatment for anxiety conditions. 


Research shows that when combined with hypnosis, CBT is even more effective. If you have not yet experienced hypnosis, you will find it very natural and enjoyable. We all experience trance-like moments from time to time, like when we get absorbed in our thoughts as we drive home safely after work - fully aware of the traffic but deeply engrossed in our thoughts.


So hypnotic moments can happen anywhere, and we can create them in our work online.  Hypnosis is not magic, or sleep or unconsciousness. It gives you the space to tune in to deep internal processes, at a level beyond conscious awareness. It is a powerful therapeutic instrument and in the hands of an experienced therapist, can enable the changes that move us from anxious and fearful to strong and confident.
